🇵🇱 #POLAND: TVP Planning An Expanded 2026 National Final

TVP, the Polish national broadcaster, are looking at an expanded national final for the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, in Vienna.

TVP are still accepting song submissions for a few more days. The committee will review the submissions between Thursday 27th November and Friday 5th December. At least ten artists will be invited to live auditions in Warsaw on Thursday 18th December – although some artists may bypass this stage, if they are deemed to have sufficient vocal and stage experience. The rules of the selection are as follows:

  • All performers must at least 16 years old by Friday 1st May 2026.
  • All performers must be Polish citizens on the date of submission.
  • Songs must be no longer than 3 minutes, must not be released or performed before Monday 1st September 2025 and must not be demo versions.
  • Songs can contain lyrics in Polish (including dialects), Kashubian, languages of national minorities in Poland, English, French and Italian. Live performances may also include sign language.
  • Songs must be created primarily by humans. AI tools may be permitted if humans retain creative control.
  • Any stage props must be approved by TVP and must be assembled and disassembled by four people within 30 seconds.

Wirtualnemedia.pl, an online Polish media outlet, is reporting that TVP will take its national final to a large concert hall for the first time. By moving to a large concert hall, the national final will be ticketed, allowing thousands of fans to attend. The national final will take place on Saturday 14th February.
