On the lead up to the 2025 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Tbilisi, we will be taking a look back at participating countries past and present, while we will also look at the top three Acts to ‘Shine Bright’ from all the previous Contests. Today we are looking at the Kyiv Contest from 2009. The top three Acts to ‘Shine Bright’ at Kyiv 2009 were:

The Netherlands, 1st: Ralf Mackenbach, “Click Clack” (121 points)

Armenia, =2nd: Luara Hayrapetyan, “Barcelona” (116 points – 3 x 12 points)

Russia, =2nd: Ekaterina Ryabova, “Malenkiy prints” (116 points – 2 x 12 points)
