
MTVA, the Hungarian national broadcaster, have opened applications for A Dal 2026.
A Dal started as the Hungarian national selection show for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest. Since their withdrawal from the Eurovision Song Contest, A Dal has continued as a standalone competition – with 2026 been the fourteenth season.
Applications are now open for A Dal 2026 and will remain open until Saturday 22nd November. Thirty artists will qualify for the Contest, which will be held for seven weeks across February and March. As well as the four heats where the jury will score the artists, all thirty will compete across three semi finals.
During each semi final, the top two artists with the jury and public will automatically qualify, a third finalist will be the act that receives the most votes from the remaining eight artists that did not qualify. The winner of A Dal 2026 will receive the ability to record an album and music video to the value of 10 million forints.
