MRT, the North Macedonian national broadcaster, have confirmed participation, at the 2026 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
MRT published the programme plan for 2026 yesterday, with the broadcaster stating the following:
“Through JESC, young talents get a unique opportunity to perform on a large international stage, in front of an audience of millions, to work with top professionals and to present their artistic abilities.
JESC also plays a significant role in the development of the domestic music industry for children: it encourages original song creation, contemporary stage, concepts, multimedia productions and international cooperation. In addition, the event has a great promotional potential through traditional media, digital platforms and social networks, providing visibility for the country and young artists.
With the continued participation of MRT in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, a permanent educational platform is also being built, through which children learn about teamwork, stage discipline, cultural diversity and media responsibility. This event is much more than a competition — it is an investment in young generations and their cultural and artistic development.”
