NRK, the Norweigian national broadcaster, have confirmed non-participation at the 2026 Eurovision Young Musicians, in Yerevan.
Ragnhild Veire, the head of NRK Klassisk, had the following to say:
“NRK has decided to withdraw from participating in next year’s contest because it prefers to focus on further developing its national competition Virtuos, which has continuously served as Norway’s selection for the Eurovision Young Musicians since 2006.
NRK continues to value its cooperation with the EBU and is open to returning to the Eurovision Young Musicians Contest in the future.”
