#OBITUARY: Inge Brück from Germany

Singer and actress Inge Brück has died aged 88. For Eurovision fans, she was most famous for taking part in the 1967 Eurovision Song Contest in 1967.

Active in the entertainment industry from the 1950s, Inge first performed in 1956 at the German Jazz Festival in Frankfurt. In 1961 she took part in the German Schlager Festival in Baden-Baden with the song Das Glück kommt unverhoffen.

In 1966 she went to Rio de Janeiro and took part in the Festival Internacional da Canção and won with the song Frag den Wind

In 1967, she was selected internally by German broadcaster ARD to take part in the Eurovision Song Contest in the Wiener Hofburg in Vienna with the song Anouschka, written and conducted by Hans Blum. She was backed by the Frankfurters. Her performance received seven points, from seven different juries.

After Eurovision, she moved back to acting, another passion of hers. She also toured in musicals and performed religious music with Katja Ebstein (DE70, 71 and 80) and Peter Horton (AT67) among other people.
