
Should Innsbruck be awarded the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, the Innsbruck Municipal Council has voted in favour of the relevant funding.
Should the city be awarded the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, Innsbruck Municipal Council will fund around a third of the €20,000,000 required to host the Contest. Johannes Anzengruber, Mayor of Innsbruck, had the following to say:
“We have succeeded in setting up great financing agreement together with tourism and business sectors. The share of the two partners is greater than that of the city. This was the crucial point because Innsbruck could not afford this alone. This way it is manageable and feasible.”
