
ORF, the Austrian national broadcaster, have commenced final host city negotiations, ahead of the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest.
ORF are now in final negotiations with both Innsbruck & Vienna. One of these two cities will be revealed as the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest host city next month. Roland Weißmann, ORF Director General, had the following to say:
“With Vienna and Innsbruck, we have two very exciting and promising applications. Both cities offer good conditions and palpable enthusiasm for Eurovision. We look forward to the next steps and to further discussions in the coming weeks.”
Michael Krön, Executive Producer of the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, had the following to say:
“I would like to thank the project teams from both cities for their comprehensive, plausible, and creative applications. Based on the documents, we will now begin negotiations and will take the time to discuss all relevant aspects in detail.”
