
ORF, the Austrian national broadcaster, have received an open letter in regards to the funding of the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest.
The open letter, signed by 620 artists and 90 institutions in Austria, have asked ORF not to cut any cultural programming to assist the funding of the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest. ORF have previously REVEALED that Große Chance der Blasmusik, a classical music programme, will be delayed. Director General of ORF, Roland Weißmann, had the following to say:
“ORF remains the most reliable partner of the domestic arts and culture scene.”
