Following the news yesterday that Vienna has submitted a bid to host Eurovision 2026, today , Innsbruck have officially submitted their own bid for the right to host the contest next year, with the slogan “Together on Top”.The proposal is to stage the contest at the Olympia Halle and Eurovision village to be situated on the Landestheaterplatz , in the centre of Innsbruck .

Innsbruck’s mayor Johannes Anzengruber had this to say about the bid .

” Our bid stands for openness, diversity, and a special sense of togetherness. At the same time, it was important to us to present a concept that is feasible, financially viable, and built on solid foundations“

Innsbruck submitted a bid when the contest was last hosted in Austria in 2015 and managed to make it to the final round, losing out to Vienna .Will they be successful this time?

Austria won the right to host Eurovision 2026 when JJ took victory at the 2025 contest in Basel, Switzerland, with the song “Wasted Love”. A decision will be reached on the host city by the Austrian broadcaster ORF on 8th August.
