
An Austrian city council has passed a motion in support of hosting the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest.
Following the vote, the City Council of Vienna has formally supported the bid to host the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, in 2026. SPÖ parliamentary group leader Josef Taucher, had the following to say:
“Vienna stands for quality, efficiency, and international hospitality. We are ready to be Europe’s international stage again in 2026.”
The following cities and towns have stated that they are examining or will bid to host the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest:
- Innsbruck
- Linz & Wels
- St Pölten
- Vienna
