🇦🇹 #ESC26: Ebreichsdorf & Oberwart Withdraw Host City Interest

Two Austrian cities have withdrawn their interest in hosting the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest.

Siegmund Kahlbacher, Managing Director of Comer City in Ebreichsdorf, has confirmed that Comer City will not be progressing into the next phase of the bidding process to host the Eurovision Song Contest.

Kerstin Zsifkovits-Taferner, spokesperson for the Municipality of Oberwart, confirmed that the proposed use of the Oberwart exhibition hall does not meet the criteria required of a venue to host the competition.

The following cities and towns have stated that they are examining or will bid to host the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest:

  • Graz
  • Innsbruck
  • Linz & Wels
  • St Pölten
  • Vienna
