CBC, the Canadian national broadcaster, has deemed the Eurovision Canada format as too expensive.

CBC, after further consideration with stakeholders, has revealed that Eurovision Canada would be too expensive to run. Chuck Thompson, a spokesperson for CBC, told CBC News the following:

“The broadcaster had considered a possibility and had met with stakeholders, but ultimately it was found to be prohibitively expensive.”
