This year at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, in Basel, we will be looking back at Switzerland since their first participation. Today we begin with 1956.

1961 – “Nous aurons demain”

In 1961, when the Contest was held in Cannes, France, Franca di Rienzo represented Switzerland with “Nous aurons demain”. Franca finished in 3rd place and 16 points.

1962 – “Le Retour”

In 1962, when the Contest was held in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, Jean Phiippe represented Switzerland with “Le Retour”. Jean finished in 10th place and 2 points.

1963 – “T’en va pas”

In 1963, when the Contest was held in London, the United Kingdom, Esther Ofarim represented Switzerland with “T’en va pas”. Esther finished in 2nd place and 40 points.

1964 – “I miei pensieri”

In 1964, when the Contest was held in Copenhagen, Denmark, Anita Traversi represented Switzerland with “I miei pensieri”. Anita finished in 13th place and 0 points.

1965 – “Non, à jamais sans toi”

In 1965, when the Contest was held in Naples, Italy, Yovanna represented Switzerland with “Non, à jamais sans toi”. Yovanna finished in 8th place and 8 points.

1966 – “Ne vois-tu pas?”

In 1966, when the Contest was held in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, Madeleine Pascal represented Switzerland with “Ne vois-tu pas?”. Madeleine finished in 6th place and 12 points.
