RTSH, the Albanian national broadcaster, have confirmed participation at the 2025 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
RTSH has revealed that Junior Fest will no longer be the national selection for the 2025 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Instead, the broadcaster has signed an agreement with the mayor of Shkodër, which will see the winner of the 63rd Festivali i Fëmijëve go on to represent Albania. The Festivali i Fëmijëve will take place between Friday 30th May & Sunday 1st June, at the Migjeni Theater.
Benet Beci, mayor of Shkodër, had the following to say:
“We are convinced that the traditional stage of the Shkodra Festival, now celebrating its 63rd anniversary, will be even more successful and rewarding for the dozens of children’s music creators and hundreds of young talents emerging there and followed everywhere on the RTSH screen and now also in Europe’s most prestigious competition.”
