
KiKA, the German national broadcaster, have confirmed their non-participation at the 2025 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
KiKA have revealed that Germany will not be participating at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest, but will carry on broadcasting it. KiKA have partnered with NDR, the German broadcaster in charge of all related Eurovision operations in the past, however after Basel, all related Eurovision operations will be looked after by SWR, the German broadcaster. SWR have yet to announce their intentions towards the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
KiKA had the following to say:
“In 2025, KiKA will broadcast and accompany the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, the largest children’s singing competition in Europe, in a great live show. Germany will not be represented with its own participant.”
