
RTVE, the Spanish national broadcaster, have announced changes ahead of Benidorm Fest 2026 – their national selection for the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest.
The president of RTVE, José Pablo López, announced significant adjustments for next year’s edition of Benidorm Fest. During the event, José Pablo López highlighted the festival’s growing popularity among younger audiences. José Pablo López had the following to say:
“We have made the decision to appoint an artistic director for next year’s contest. Alongside this, we will also renew the festival’s selection committee. These changes are part of a broader strategy to make Benidorm Fest more representative of Spain and to ensure we continue evolving as a festival that nurtures diverse musical talent.”
