Chile and Spain are strengthening their latino musical ties with a coming together of Benidorm Fest and the Viña del Mar International Song Festival.
A cross-promotional agreement has been made, where the winner of Benidorm Fest will appear at Viña del Mar International Song Festival and vice versa. Daniel Merino, General Director of the Viña del Mar International Song Festival, had the following to say:
“What this company is looking for is that the winner of the Viña Festival performs in Benidorm and that the winner from Benidorm, in turn, performs in Viña.”
