Here at Eurovision Ireland, we are taking a historical look back on our favourite Contests past and present, on the very day they took place. Today it’s November 26th:

Sunday 26th November 2023

On this day in 2023, the 21st edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place in Nice, France. Estonia debuted, while Germany returned. Kazakhstan & Serbia withdrew. France took victory with Zoé Clauzure performing “Cœur” and 228 points.

Sunday 26th November 2017

On this day in 2017, the 15th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place in Tbilisi, Georgia. Portugal returned, while Bulgaria & Israel withdrew. Russia took victory with Polina Bogusevich performing “Wings” and 188 points.

Saturday 26th November 2005

On this day in 2005, the 3rd edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place in Hasselt, Belgium. Russia & Serbia and Montenegro debuted. Cyprus, France, Poland & Switzerland all withdrew. Belarus took victory with Ksenia Sitnik performing “My vmeste” and 149 points.
