Here at Eurovision Ireland, we are taking a historical look back on our favourite Contests past and present, on the very day they took place. Today it’s November 21st:

Saturday 21st November 2015

On this day in 2015, the 13th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place in Sofia, Bulgaria. Australia & Ireland debuted, while Albania & North Macedonia returned. Croatia, Cyprus & Sweden all withdrew. Malta took victory with Destiny Chukunyere performing “Not My Soul” and 185 points.

Saturday 21st November 2014

On this day in 2014, the 2nd edition of the Turkvision Song Contest took place in Kazan, Tatarstan. Albania, Bulgaria, Germany, Iran, Moscow & Turkmenistan debuted. Altai Republic, Belarus, Kemerovo, Kosovo & Northern Cyprus all withdrew. Kazakhstan took victory with Zhanar Dugalova performing “Izin kórem” and 225 points.

Saturday 21st November 2009

On this day in 2009, the 7th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place in Kyiv, Ukraine. Sweden returned, while Bulgaria, Greece & Lithuania all withdrew. The Netherlands took victory with Ralf Mackenbach performing “Click Clack” and 121 points.
