Yle, the Finnish national broadcaster, have revealed further details of UMK 2025 – their national selection for the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, in Basel.
Yle have revealed that UMK will once again be hosted in the city of Tampere, at the Nokia Arena. UMK 2025 will take place on Saturday 8th February. Tickets will go on-sale tomorrow morning at 08:00 CEST. The seven participating artists will be revealed on Wednesday 8th January, with the seven songs revealed every weekday between Thursday 9th & Friday 17th January – at 00:00 local time.
Anssi Autio, Executive Producer of UMK, had the following to say:
“The UMK show, which has grown into an arena-scale event, exceeded expectations in many respects last year. There are high expectations for this year’s event, both among the UMK production team and certainly among the audience. Tampere proved to be a brilliant UMK host city last year. This year, we will be working even more closely with the city, which is expected to have a very boisterous UMK week in early February.”
