
AMPTV, the Armenian national broadcaster, have announced their representative for the 2024 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Madrid.
AMPTV have announced that Leo Mkrtchyan will represent Armenia in Madrid, following two rounds of auditions. The song that Leo will perform, will be revealed in the coming weeks. The following jury chose Leo:
- Iveta Mukuchyan – represented Armenia at ESC 2016 & Co-Host of JESC 2022
- Garik Papoyan – Musician, Presenter & Co-Host of JESC 2022
- Aramais Hayrapetyan – Director
- Alexandra Redde-Amiel – HoD for France at ESC & JESC and Executive Producer of JESC 2021 & 2023
- Lee Smithurst – HoD for the United Kingdom at ESC
- Marta Piekarska – HoD for Poland at ESC & JESC and Executive Producer of JESC 2019 & 2020
- Carla Bugalho – HoD for Portugal at ESC & JESC
Following the announcement as the Armenian representative, Leo had the following to say:
“I love my country and the world of music. Representing Armenia on an international stage through music is both joyful and incredibly responsible. I was taught to always believe in myself and I am sure that each and every human has a great power to reach for their dreams!”
