During June, we celebrated Pride month here at Eurovision Ireland, by highlighting some of the LGBTQ+ artists to have participated in the Eurovision Song Contest.
For August 3rd, we are extending our Pride celebrations with a certain 50th anniversary that you might have heard about during May. Today, Brighton Pride takes place, which is a special place in many a Eurovision fan’s heart. While there were no LGBTQ+ artists at the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest, we don’t need an excuse to celebrate a certain group called ABBA again – as well as a unique interval act.
Let us know what you think about Sweden, the United Kingdom and the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest – either in the comments below or on our FACEBOOK, TWITTER, YOUTUBE, INSTAGRAM and TIKTOK pages.
