
Following on from yesterday’s ANNOUNCEMENT that at least twelve countries have signed up to the 2024 Intervision Song Contest, the first participating countries have been named alongside host country Russia.
Mikhail Shvydkoy has now confirmed sixteen countries has signed up to participate. Mikhail Shvydkoy, the special representative of the Russian President for International Cultural Cooperation, had the following to say:
“The “Intervision” will take place either at the end of this year or at the beginning of next year. It is already obvious today that there is great interest in Intervision. This includes Latin America, Central Asia, the CIS countries, and, as far as I know, some even individual European states are expressing interest; China, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Cuba, and Brazil have confirmed their participation.”
