Suspilne, the Ukrainian national broadcaster, has confirmed participation at the 2024 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Madrid.

Suspilne has simplified the terms for participation in the National Selection to make it even more accessible for young performers: having an original song is not mandatory anymore. To participate in the selection and get the opportunity to represent Ukraine on the big stage of Junior Eurovision 2024 in Madrid, Spain, it is enough to just record two covers of popular songs and a personal video presentation. This change will expand opportunities for participation and create equal conditions for all participants. 

At the same time, young songwriters still have the opportunity to submit an additional original song for consideration if they wish — but this option does not affect the possibility of advancing to the next stage of selection. If the child who submitted an original song is shortlisted, Suspilne will determine at its discretion whether to keep this track for the participant to perform in the final round or to provide a new original composition. 

Those wishing to participate must fill in an application form HERE before Wednesday 3rd July. The final of the National Selection will once again be broadcast online. The winner will be chosen by a combination of jury and public votes.
