The Slovakian Government have approved the closure of RTVS, the Slovakian national broadcaster.

Once the governing parties have a majority in parliament, a debate and vote will debate will take place surrounding the closure. If approved, RTVS will close and will be replaced by STVR. If RTVS is closed down, the EBU membership will be dissolved and STVR will have to apply again for EBU membership.
