
Welcome to our new ‘Top of the Pops’ charts – with a Eurovision twist! On a regular basis, we will bring you a new chart with a Eurovision theme. This week, we are celebrating the Top 25 Scoring Swedish Entries Since 1975 ahead of Melodifestivalen 2024. Today, we take a look at positions 15 to 11.
15: 1984 – The Herreys, “Diggi-Loo, Diggi-Ley”
The Herreys represented Sweden at the 1984 Contest in Luxembourg City. The Herreys scored 145 points with the song “Diggi-Loo, Diggi-Ley”, finishing in 1st place.
14: 1991 – Carola, “Fångad av en stormvind”
Carola represented Sweden at the 1991 Contest in Rome. Carola scored 146 points with the song “Fångad av en stormvind”, finishing in 1st place.
13: 1999 – Charlotte Nilsson, “Take Me To Your Heaven”
Charlotte Nilsson represented Sweden at the 1999 Contest in Jerusalem. Charlotte scored 163 points with the song “Take Me To Your Heaven”, finishing in 1st place.
12: 2006 – Carola, “Invincible”
Carola represented Sweden at the 2006 Contest in Athens. Carola scored 170 points with the song “Invincible”, finishing in 5th place.
11: 2004 – Lena Philipsson, “It Hurts”
Lena Philipsson represented Sweden at the 2004 Contest in Istanbul. Lena scored 170 points with the song “It Hurts”, finishing in 5th place. Lena Philipsson features in 11th place after getting 4 sets of twelve points compared to Carola’s 0.
