ERR, the Estonian national broadcaster, have announced the format changes for Eesti Laul 2024, following the opening of the song submission period on Friday.

Twenty songs will participate in Eesti Laul 2024. Five will qualify directly to the Final, while the remaining fifteen will take part in a single Semi Final, therefore a removal of one semi final after 2023. The Semi Final on Saturday 20th January will take place in Tartu and will see another five songs qualify for the Final. The Final on Saturday 17th February will take place in Tallinn.

The song submission period will close on Monday 23rd October, at 22:00 GMT/23:00 CET. The participation fee is €50 for songs in Estonian and €100 for songs in other or multiple languages up until Saturday 21st October. The participation fee doubles to €100 for songs in Estonian and €200 for songs in other or multiple languages for the final two days of the submission period.
