VRT, the Flemish-Belgian national broadcaster, has confirmed that they will not be participating at the 2023 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Nice.

Belgium have participated at the Contest ten times, however has not participated since 2013. VRT has also stated that, while they are not returning to the Contest this year, they will be reconsidering participation again in 2024.
