
Over the course of October and November, on the lead up to the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, we will be celebrating the countries that have participated at the Contest. Today, we celebrate Denmark.
Denmark debuted at the inaugural Contest in 2003, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Anne Gadegaard finished in fifth place with her entry “Arabiens drøm”, scoring 93 points. This included two sets of twelve points – from Spain and Sweden.
The most successful entry from Denmark was also their most recent entry in 2005, when the Contest took place in Hasselt, Belgium. Nicolai Kielstrup finished in fourth place with his entry “Shake Shake Shake”, scoring 121 points. This included three sets of twelve points – from North Macedonia, Norway and the EBU.
