
On the lead up to the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which is been held in Paris, we are looking back at all the countries to have participated in the Contest and their histories – past and present. Today we are start Malta’s story.
Malta debuted at the 2003 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Sarah Harrison participated with “Like a Star”, finishing in 7th place and 56 points.
Young Talent Team represented Malta at the 2004 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Lillehammer, Norway. They participated with “Power of a Song”, finishing in 12th place and 14 points.
Thea & Friends represented Malta at the 2005 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Hasselt, Belgium. They participated with “Make It Right”, finishing in 16th and last place, with 18 points.
Sophie Debattista represented Malta at the 2006 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Bucharest, Romania. She participated with “Extra Cute”, finishing in 11th place and 48 points.
Cute represented Malta at the 2007 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. They participated with “Music”, finishing in 12th place and 37 points.
Daniel Testa represented Malta at the 2008 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Limassol, Cyprus. He participated with “Junior Swing”, finishing in 4th place and 100 points.
