On Saturday morning, hours before Junior Songfestival 2021 took place, NPO, the Dutch national broadcaster, opened up the application process for Junior Songfestival 2022, therefore confirming participation at the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Applications have to be in by Friday 31st December. While everyone has to apply individually, if they wish to take part as a duo or group, they must indicate the names of those applicants too within an additional statement.
