On days when we don’t have matches for UEFA Euro 2020, we will be looking at the Host Cities that have also hosted a Eurovision event – whether it be the Eurovision Song Contest, Junior Eurovision Song Contest or the Eurovision Dance Contest. Today we move on to Bucharest, where the Arena Națională is hosting some matches.
2006 – Sala Polivalentă
The 4th Junior Eurovision Song Contest was held at the Sala Polivalentă in Bucharest. The Contest was hosted by Andreea Marin Bănică and Ioana Ivan. The Tolmachevy Sisters took victory for Russia, with “Vesenniy jazz”, scoring 154 points.
Join us tomorrow, as we visit Amsterdam, another Euro 2020 Eurovision Host City.
