Over the course of November and on the lead up to the 2020 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, we will be celebrating the countries that have participated at the Contest. Today, we celebrate Wales.
Wales debuted at the Contest in 2018, in Minsk, Belarus. Manw finished in twentieth and last place with her entry “Perta”, scoring 29 points.
The most successful and most recent entry from Wales was in 2019, when the Contest took place in Gliwice, Poland. Erin Mai finished in eighteenth place with her entry “Calon yn Curo”, scoring 35 points.
Following her rehearsal in Gliwice last year, John had a chance to speak to Erin Mai:
Join us tomorrow and throughout November, as we celebrate the countries that have participated at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
