
It has been announced that the US streaming service Netflix, have gained the rights to stream this year’s and next year’s Contests. As of today, viewers in the USA can view the whole of this year’s Contest from Tel Aviv.
Next year’s Contest in the Netherlands, will be available to stream once the Contest has taken place. Jon Ola Sand, the Contest’s Executive Supervisor, had the following to say:
“The European Broadcasting Union is thrilled that the world’s biggest entertainment show will now be available on-demand for viewers in the USA, one of the biggest TV markets, U.S viewers will now get to enjoy all three of this year’s fantastic shows for the first time as well as the entire Contest in 2020. This is perfect timing with plans to launch a US version of the Contest in 2021.”
