Today saw the final day of the first rehearsals and the second set of second semi finalists. We were expecting things from both Russia and The Netherlands, however others surprised us too.

North Macedonia have come back fighting with a raw and emotive performance – strong enough for the bookies to place them in the final for the first time since 2012. Tamara delivered when she needed too and should be very happy.

Azerbaijan came in fighting and will close the second semi final with a cracker of a performance. Could it be Baku calling next year? The bookies have now got Azerbaijan 4th in the odds – just two behind Russia. Robot arms feature heavily – something a lot bigger than those San Marino techno-bots from last year.

Tomorrow see’s no rehearsals as we are now in Memorial Day (sundown to sundown). I’ll be back with a #TelAvivJournal tomorrow highlighting any events we may have come across.
