7th May – 41 Years Ago Today
On this day in 1977, the 22nd Eurovision Song Contest took place in the Wembley Conference Centre, London. Marie Myriam took part for France, becoming their fifth and final entry to date, to win for her country. Marie Myriam finished with a 15 point margin over their nearest competitor, Lynsey de Paul & Mike Moran from the United Kingdom.
