‘The Winner Takes it All‘ and the rest get eliminated or go to Andra Chanson
After the week of no scandals, Melodifestivalen got down to business yet again. Heat 2 came at you like a thunder bolt! Missed all the action then you can grab it HERE
Malmo was the city and 7 acts competed for 2 Direct places in the Melodifestivalen final, while another 2 acts got the consolation prize of battling it out again in Andra Chanson (second chance round)
So after the results were counted and verified the results were as follows
Direct to Final
It’s David Lindgren with We Are Your Tomorrow and Wiktoria with Save Me. I was surprised by David, that song wasn’t really doing it for me although there’s nothing wrong with it, it just didn’t set my heart on fire. I was less surprised that Wiktoria got through, vocally she was excellent and visually the presentation of the song was original and quirky. David & Wiktoria celebrated with gorgeous flowers…

Andra Chanson
In Andra Chanson we find my two favourites of the evening. Molly Pettersson Hammar with Hunger and Isa with I Will Wait. Two very different songs, I loved Isa’s vocals (best of the night) and the fabulous staging and lighting of the performance, and Molly if just fabulous, again great vocals, a good song that I’m pretty sure will be on my playlist for a good while yet and lots of fireworks, what’s not to love!! A group hug for Molly & Isa, I look forward to seeing them both again…

Next week sees 7 more acts compete on the Saturday night slot and let’s hope for more cracking songs and random memories from the past
Did the right songs progress in the competition? What do you think? Let us know.

I thought that either Molly or Isa would have got through along with David Lindgren also for me a better semi final than last weeks
Agree Ian – Isa and Molly we though were Direct to final.
The Swedes thought differently
