How will the ‘Land of Fire’ select their act for Eurovision 2016? 

Azerbaijani television ITV have announced that they will follow the same procedure as last year and internally select their artist for Eurovision 2016. T

ITV have opened a song submission period for artists and song writers to send their entries. This will close on February 10th and interested parties should give their details to eurovision2016@itv.az .

Applications must document the artist/artists (name, date of birth, place of residence). The performers must be originally from Azerbaijan.

Name of the new Azerbaijani representatives will be announced on the 14th March

Elnur Huseynov represented Azerbaijan for the second time at the contest and placed 12th in the Grand Final.
