Malta are on a serious Eurovision streak with their second win at Junior recently and now possibly the return of Ira Losco to Eurovision in Stockholm.

TVM have just announced the 49 songs that have made it through to the next round of the Maltese National Selection.

There are many familiar names in the shortlisted songs as you can see below.

Here we see Deborah C (whom John from our team likes a LOT), Lyndsay Pace, Danica Muscat, Franklin Calleja and the first of 2 songs from Ira Losco (who came second for Malta at Eurovision 2002)

Here we see a second song also from Danica Muscat, Franklin Calleja and Ira Losco. Also here is Daniel Testa who represented Malta at Junior Eurovision.

These 49 songs will be shortlisted to 20 who will compete in a live Semifinal on January 22nd with the final the following day.

Is this the year of the return of Ira Losco to a Eurovision stage?
