AZERBAIJAN : Singer Nura Suri this morning says on LIVE tv that Elnur Huseynov will go to Eurovision 2015

Over a month ago following his victory in The Voice of Turkey, we mentioned the rumours that Azerbaijan’s first ever act to Eurovision in 2008 Elnur,  was being tipped to return to the contest.

This morning the popular singer and tv star Nura Suri said on live TV that Elnur would be representing Azerbaijan in Vienna – SEE HERE

Also the official Azeri Eurovision Fan Network ‘INFE Azerbaijan’ have this morning also claimed that Elnur has been selected for Vienna – SEE HERE

ITV (Azeri National Broadcaster) have said that they will announce their artist and song for Eurovision 2015 on March 15th

Azeri Eurovision fans are indeed excited at this morning’s tv revelations. ITV were not available for comment.

You may remember Elnur from Eurovision 2008 where he was part of the country’s début entry in the contest. Elnur & Samir sand the song ‘Day After Day’ that placed 8th in the Grand Final of the contest.

Would Elnur be a popular return to Eurovision? Could he help maintain Azerbaijan’s 100% qualification record for the grand final at Eurovision? Could his recent win in The Voice mobilise the Turkish diaspora across Europe?
