SMRTV confirmed today that San Marino would be making an appearance at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest later this year in Malta. The announcement was made online via their website.
The announcement reveals that details about San Marino’s participation in the twelfth edition of the contest will be announced in a public press conference on 29 September.
This November will see San Marino’s second entry after their debut in 2013, were they finished 10th with ‘O-o-O Sole intorno a me’ by 15 year old Michele Perniola.
After their first appearance in the Grand Final of a Eurovision Song Contest when the lovely Valentina Monetta eventually got there, our Sammarinese friends obviously feel that they may be in with a chance.
The contest will be broadcast live from the Shipbuilding in Malta on Saturday 15 November.
