NETHERLANDS – The Common Linnets aka Ilse DeLange and Waylon gave The Netherlands their best result at Eurovision this year since 1998. Their song ‘Calm After The Storm’ became a big European hit and their album entered the Top 10 in the global charts.
It came as a surprise to many when Waylon announced that he was not staying with the project. Last weekend DeLange and Waylon reunited for one last time for their ‘Tuckerville’ concert at the FC Twente Football Stadium in Enschede.
Waylon rocked his snug leather trousers again while DeLange was country chic. Despite what some media have reported, there is no animosity between the two singers and on The Common Linnets Facebook Page DeLange wrote
The Common Linnets will remain as a group fronted by Ilse DeLange and guest performers in the future. Will the group maintain their huge success without Waylon? Time will tell.
What do you think?
