American Fans of Eurovision met up recently. A mixture of European people who now live stateside and Americans who have been introduced to the festivities of the contest all partied in Chicago last week to look at the preview videos and cast their votes. Want to know who the American Fans liked?
The Top Ten Points From The American Eurovision Fans in Chicago
Poland – 121 Points
Malta – 80 Points
Italy – 64 Points
Spain – 58 Points
Switzerland – 48 Points
Sweden – 47 Points
Armenia – 44 Points
Estonia – 44 Points
Finland – 43 Points
France – 38 Points
So it seems that the fans like some “Slavic Girls” as they award Poland their 12 points. For the vast majority of the people who voted this was their first time seeing and hearing the songs so this could be an interesting insight into what the general public in Europe may think when they tune into the semi finals.
