The Eurovision Song Contest has become almost a musical version of “The Great British Bake Off” with two cake songs in the contest this year and no doubt somebody wanting to pop out of one on stage.
However Latvia are determined that their recipe for success is going to take the title for them – and not a “soggy bottom” in sight.
Yesterday they released their official video for “Cake to Bake” that will be performed by Aarzemnieki.
A sweet song deserves a sugary video and this is what they have done. The video was produced by Aija Strazdiņa and shot by Jānis Salms.
What we do like about this video is that they give you lessons on how to speak Latvian – which I am always rusty on besides the odd “I Wanna”.
What do you think of the video and the song? Initial reaction to the song was mixed though we think this has a strong chance of making the final.
