GREECE : National Eurovision Final Set for March

Greece – Many people had written Greece off from participating at Eurovision 2014 and then claimed they could not hold a National Final. All challenges appear to have been crossed and a National Final is provisionally set for March 4th and 4 artists have been announced for selection.

We had reported earlier in January that Kostas Martakis was looking to return to the Greek National Selection – SEE HERE. The reports are that the National Selection will be run again in conjunction with MAD TV and NERIT (The New Greek National Broadcaster)

Josephine and Freaky Fortune are 2 relatively new acts. Freaky Fortune are a new Boy Band. Clips for the 4 songs will be shot this week. This year will mark the 40th Anniversary of Greece’s first appearance at Eurovision in 1974 when Marinella performed the song “Krasi, Thalassa Kai T’ Agori Mou”

The National Final will be a celebration of this anniversary and is promised to the a Greek Affair.
