French Eurovision singer Jessy Matador has released 2 albums this year and he is certainly asking you to get your “Beat On” with his new African Funk music. He is beating the drums hard in the new video “Echo” – not to be confused with the “gymtastic” French entry from Anggun in 2012.

“Echo” is the new release from Lylloo featuring Jessy Matador. Keeping true to what Jessy does best, this is African pop through and through. Thumping drums and catchy hooks that makes you forget the horrible weather outside your bedroom window.

The video sees Jessy beating a lot of oil drums and bringing an iconic 80’s piece of fashion back into vogue – The MC Hammer Pants. You remember those pants with the long crotch on them – “Can’t Touch This”. Well Jessy is so darn cool that he makes his zipped twist on the “Hammer Pants” look cool.

If Zumba is your choice of physical exercise then expect to hear this song in your class sometime soon.
