Eurovision 2014 as you know will be coming from “Beautiful Copenhagen” and the currently disused “B&W Halls”. DR have christened this “Eurovision Island”.
To date we have seen photographs of the area, but we have come across this video that gives you an aerial view of the vast B&W Halls and the surrounding area.

Once an industrial power house in Copenhagen, it has not been fully functional – except for some cultural events – over the past few years. What is impressive is the sheer space that is available outside of the vast halls that will host the Eurovision contest itself. There are impressive waterways that come right up to the halls themselves. Now what are the odds that some of the Eurovision Ireland Team will be taking a dip – possibly unintentionally?
What is evident is that the potential for this area is vast and pockets of land that have been regenerated already look impressive. It is the scale of the project that I am sure are causing the DR team many a sleepless night. I would imagine that anyone in the construction industry seeking employment should make their way to Copenhagen.
I can see the Danish dream – I just need to see some builders in there now making the dream a reality. Keep the faith Europe! Denmark can and will do it!
