Amandine Bourgeois – French Eurovision Entrant – takes to the stage for her first rehearsal of “L’enfer et Moi”
Andrew’s view
Amandine looks very vampish today with black leather jacket and jeans and messy hair. The stage lighting is orange and yellow and looks like the setting for a rock concert. She really knows how to work this song her vocals are very rock chic and the 2nd half of the song she is really belting it out to within an inch of it’s life. Also she has 3 backing singers supporting her.
Garrett’s View
Amandine is singing of a song about hell and the camera zooms in over the full length of the auditorium to the stage that is now lit in oranges and reds and resembles a caldron. Visually this is like a rock concert with attitude.
Amandine was looking über chic in that French “just got out of bed “hair look and dressed in leather jacket and tight jeans. Her vocals are very strong and as for her performance – well she knows how to sell a song. Passion and attitude and by far the best French song and singer since the timeless Patricia Kaas back in 2009. This is an original song and I am glad to see it in Eurovision competing against the more formal driven entries. Eurovision needs these types of songs. This will certainly score higher than their entry last year and push for the left hand side of the scoreboard.
