International success after Eurovision is a prize in itself, but to have chart success in a country besides your own before the contest must mean that you are striking a chord with International music fans – Just ask Ireland’s own Ryan Dolan!
Its getting closer to this years Eurovision Song Contest, and most countries are now previewing the 39 entries in their respective countries. Sweden – this years host country – has scheduled their preview show over 4 weeks right up to the final on the 18th May. And it was in this 2nd instalment that our very own Ryan Dolans song “Only Love Survives” was previewed and discussed amongst an expert Swedish panel -including Melodifestivalen favourite Shirley Clamp.

Why are we sharing this story with you ? Well on release of today’s current iTunes pop chart in Sweden, the Irish entry “Only Love Survives” has climbed to number 26 on the chart, and its believed that this is partially due to the rave review the Irish entry got on the Swedish preview show.
Ryan himself expressed great joy upon receiving this news as he continues his promotional tour throughout Europe. From Hamburg today he tweeted this picture of the Swedish iTunes chart.
Lets hope that “Love” will indeed survive and that the Irish entry charts highly throughout Europe over the coming weeks.
The countdown is well and truly on.
